My dears...and my darlings....
I think to myself, on a Tuesday in June, it's hard to believe we're 19 days from summer. I do hope you have been making it out into the cool morning and evening breezes as much as possible - from time to time in your bare feet over sweet grass...nestling yourself between the cool of the earth and the warmth of our midday sun - it's always there for you, served fresh daily.
This week, we focus on the unassuming little spring radish. Here's how the convo goes in my kitchen...
Me: "hubby, would you like to try a fresh radish sandwich?"hubby: "that's a hard no thank you" (he says gently, and in his polite way)Me: "son, would you like to try a fresh radish sandwich?"son: "I don't think so?" (he says with less certainty...I saw my chance...)Me: "Well, you don't know what you're missing..."
